Alta velocità (High Speed)
In the 19th century the train was the symbol of progress, the railway lines were the nervous system of the new society, and the monumental stations, with their immense iron arches and great colonnades, were the cathedrals within which the daily liturgy of modern travel was celebrated. In this photographic project, dedicated to High Speed rail in Italy, the new infrastructures are portrayed in search of that same sense of wonder felt by our great-great-grandparents before the sacredness of the “Cathedrals of the Trains”.
